Dinosaurs, Quilts, & Biscuits

My weekend: finishing the piece of cake 3 quilt, knitting a stag head pullover, celebrating a two-year-old’s birthday, gathering with family, snuggling with dogs, baking strawberry biscuits, writing a chapter, and finishing Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

I am not looking forward to Monday, but it will be here in a matter of hours. What is it about Mondays that fill so many people with dread? And, will there ever be a cure to the Mondays?

My weekends are so full of slow living where there is time to joyfully savor all the small delights and wonders of the world. The work week is all go-go-go. I often feel overwhelmed with to-do lists. Half the time I doubt myself to get things not only done, but to get them done right.

Monday the pressure begins again to do all the thing and to do them well. I have to tell myself to take one thing at a time, but that is often easier said than done. But I have leftover strawberry biscuits so if Monday gets stressful at least I can eat a biscuit to cheer myself back up!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and good luck on your Monday!
